Please join me, Megan Lewis, in taking some time to explore the beneficial use flow arts on April 5th at TRISM. Whether you know little to nothing about flow arts or are incredibly immersed in the flow art community, I welcome all to experience flow art and learn about the information I have personally gather on this beautiful art form.
I decided to further explore flow arts for my art therapy Capstone project at Capital University. Although I've only been exposed to the flow art community for a few years, I have already witnessed the expressive benefits flow arts can bring to performers, as well as a sense of community and involvement. In order to further investigate this, I interviewed a few I know who are rather active in the flow art community to learn more about their personal experience with flow arts and their reasoning for initially becoming involved and staying involved with it.
This art show will display photographs and videos I have taken of these incredibly talented performers, as well as present some of the information I learned throughout my interviews and research. There will also be some live performances throughout the art show. Please feel free to stop by for any amount of time between 6:00PM and 9:300PM! The kitchen at TRISM will be open until 8:00PM, if you are interested in getting some amazing food, and the bar will be open as well.
Admission for this event is free! As for parking, there is a parking garage on 11th Street, meter parking on High Street, and free street parking on Chittenden. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any further questions about this event! I hope to see you there!
